Adecco Rolls Out Agentic AI to 27,000 Employees Across 40+ Countries

The world's largest staffing firm is extending Agentforce (Salesforce, built on Anthropic's Claude) across its entire workforce — recruitment, sales and customer service. A first hard-numbers look at an agentic rollout at full company scale.

Adecco Group announced on September 15 the global rollout of Agentforce Coworker, Salesforce's AI agent platform built on Anthropic's Claude models, to its 27,000 employees across more than 40 countries. The group signed a multi-year agreement with Salesforce in March 2026 for unlimited access to Agentforce 360 through 2027, following a pilot in the UK and France.

Use cases span three functions: sales staff use agents for prospect identification, sales-brief preparation and data enrichment; recruiters rely on agents for candidate pre-screening and status tracking; customer service routes a share of calls to conversational agents. The March 2026 UK pilot had already measured 15% time savings; CEO Denis Machuel cited 35-40% recruiter time savings at Dreamforce.

Across 2026, Adecco reports 2.6 million agent interactions, 20,000 additional placements attributed to agentic AI, and 30% of its two million service calls resolved by agents without human intervention. Half of the group's revenue now comes from countries where these agents are live.

Cardan-AI analysis: beyond the HR use case, this rollout is a real-world test of what agentic AI does to a market-intermediation business — staffing's core function being to reduce search frictions between labor supply and demand. See our full analysis for the underlying economic framework.
